“Bloody great tower it is, right at the top of the mountain! Not a clue what they're doin' there, but all you hear is chanting, day in, day out, and there always seems to be a storm there. Ferdinand says 'e saw the lightning flash different colours last night, but 'e'd been hitting the sauce pretty hard, so that might just be 'im seein' things.”

“Binding research is proceeding apace - we have now refined several of the old glyphs and discovered some new principles behind their function. Our goal of a quickly deployable emergency binding is looking closer by the day, and we should be able to issue it to Hunters within the year”

“Detection is also proceeding well, after our previous breakthroughs last year. We can now pinpoint the location of any Category 5 event when the summoning happens, and should be able to detect anything larger than a Category 8 while the ritual is still ongoing. At this point, we are ready to roll out to detection stations across the globe.”

“Trans-dimensional research has taken somewhat of a toll after the loss of Research Station Zeta, but that should serve as a lesson in caution and ensuring all proper safety procedures are in place, so that we do not need to wipe another Station off the map to prevent an incursion.”

“Our Director, Arkady Zarovich, will be paying us a visit next week, so please ensure that all research is ready for presentation.”

“Merlin (AKA Anathema, AKA Arkady Zarovich, allegedly Sable and World Eater) is allegedly responsible for the reduced hostility between the separatists and SPEAR - acting on both sides of the divide, as well as for the Knights of the Round Table, he steered the separatists onto a path of stopping corruption and exploitation, rather than simply dismantling any large organisation they could find. The SPEAR side of the equation were harder to persuade - Alecto maintained her hardline anti-separatist stance until her tragic death helping to prevent a demon incursion in 2078.”
