Siren - The Lonely Wanderer

“After the events of the Crisis, Siren slipped almost entirely from the public eye. The records suggest that she took one final flight to Australia in the company of Liberty Jeeves where, instead of finding Daniel, her childhood love, she found the note that he left her. At the note's behest, and at the calling of her own heart, Siren set out on a pursuit that would last hundreds of years.

In the first year alone, Siren visited dozens of cities across several continents. Australia, Japan, Ethiopia, France, England. Each, in turn, turned out to be a false lead.

It is unknown, even now, if Siren will ever be reunited with her love.”

10/01/2076: “…safehouses in London seem nothing more than a distraction. Although I have done my best to persuade, and where that failed, intimidate these EF members on Siren’s behalf, they seem to know little more than she does. We have a lead to some of Heyward’s friend’s in the south, but I am not hopeful. I should be travelling back to Emily soon, but – well. I’ll stay a few more days. I’m needed here.”

13/01/2076: “Nothing. Every friend claimed they never showed up, were never here. Not sure they’re lying. This was our last lead, and Siren is taking it hard. I’ll try and persuade her there’s still a chance in one of the smaller cities. Maybe there is.”

25/01/2076: “He must be somewhere else – England must be another of that man’s false trails. Just like Ethiopia. I’d hoped that this country was miserable enough to be the true destination. Put off Emily too long. Don’t want to turn into Choi, so having to head back to CC tomorrow. Have promised S I’ll join her in China.”

“No-one believed me at first. After all, what evidence did I have? A glimpse in the mirror, a figure in the distance, a feeling of being watched. But I always knew she was there. Gwendolyn Jeeves. My mother. I think she made herself a new body, and just wanted to make sure I was safe. She never came to talk to me, but that was okay.

“There were tales, too. Mother had been seen all around the world, following another girl with birds in her hair. That had to be Abigale. You might know her as Siren. Who else could it have been? I tried to track them down, and I think I spotted them once, in Peru, but I never quite caught up.”

“Same threat as ever. Third time this month, in fact. A storm of birds arrived at the perimeter fence, followed closely by a single intruder. She was yelling the same stuff about needing to get to the moon. We chased her off with the truck.”

Please bear with her occasional glitches and the heavy surface damage – we’re sure that her keen mind and mastery of aerial surveillance techniques will make her an able addition to the firm.

An additional note: there has been some property damage recently, and we would like to ask that guests refrain from defacing the Marlowe statue in the lobby.”
