This page tells you what you, as a Nexus, would know beyond an Adherent's knowledge. Please also note that the information available here is not all there is, it is simply what would be known at game start.
Whether you decide to share this information with others is up to you. However, the GMs ask that you relay this information in your own words instead of simply showing others the organisation brief, to maintain a sense of IC authenticity.
The GM in charge of the Nexus is Mark. If you have any questions related to this organisation, feel free to get in touch with them.
The Crux is largely above the Chambers of the Magisters, but beneath the Filidhean's Domain. While the training halls in the Adherents' quarters are spacious and well-maintained, it is only in the Crux that the Nexus can really practice its true abilities. For it is not physical prowess that makes the Nexus a force to be reckoned with. Instead, it is their Link to the Alitheia and to each other that allows the Nexus to move as one, fight as one and live as one.
Bestowed symbolically when each new Nexus joins, the Link allows instantaneous communication across the Nexus, regardless of where each Nexus happens to be. It is affinity with the Link, the Nexus know, that offers the true path to becoming an Ascendant. When in the Crux, the Nexus spend long hours training with their Link, seeking both to improve this affinity.
As well as training spaces and living quarters, the Crux has a large armoury, constantly maintained by Quench and a small team of helpers. If they can give a good reason, any Nexus is welcome to use the equipment, although Quench disapproves of it being used for personal business, particularly when that business involves other organisations. As well as weaponry and personal transportation, the armoury is stocked with a wide array of odds and ends, useful for everything from spying and sabotage to going camping or having tea with a diplomat.
”I feel that the Magisters are not so different from ourselves. We both start out in the same place, we both end up in the same place, and we both take similar routes to get there. If only Excogitatoris could stop talking about his fire glyph, I might be able to persuade them to work with us more often.” - Quench
”I'd like to see them actually do something with that fancy magic of theirs… Or better let, they could let me do something with it.” - Griselda
”Don't tell him I said this, but I really don't trust Crwydra. If he asks you to do something out of the ordinary, come to me first.” - Quench
”Stupid people with stupid rituals. Don't they know they're getting it all wrong?” - Griselda
”Carmen's recent change of heart is becoming a problem. If she starts saying stuff to outsiders, then we are all going to be in for a nasty ride. Someone should do something about it. I'd do it myself, but they're all still looking at me funny after last time.” - Griselda
”There have been more sightings of strangers in the vicinity of the caverns. I know I don't have to say this to you, but could everyone make sure that anyone doing anything suspicious down there is brought to me… No, Griselda, alive if you please.” - Quench
