Due to alien attacks, freak lightning storms and explosions, Polaris Industries has suffered severe damage to its main site. Production is still running, but R&D will not be able to carry on until extensive work has been done rebuilding the labs.

Administative and Executive staff are encouraged to work from home due to the large hole in the roof of the Administrative HQ.

Most staff have now been accounted for, with a nimber of fatalities in the security force and R&D teams, including Yuan Cho, the late head of R&D.
