The tale of Maxwell Byrd is one we all know and love. The tale of a man's struggle against the curse of Lycanthropy and the corruption within Capital City and beyond. And nothing tells this tale better than the latest film from Stargaze Entertainment Studios.
Filled with equal parts gripping suspense and quiet, yet still heart-wrenching tragedy, this Neo-Noir retelling of Byrd's life has proved to audiences once and for all that there's far more to werewolves than Moonlight would have you believe. It isn't afraid of getting into the gritty details of what it means to deal with issues like lycanthropy, and how it can effect your work, and your everyday life.
This film pulls no punches, detailing Byrd's investigations into the gruesome Prosopon murders, as well as the corruption of Gamasot Laboratories and the ambush at Lake Geneva that led to his tragic death.
While all the casting can be described as solid, the show was truly stolen by veteran actor Jonas Lee's stunningly tragic portrayal of Byrd, as well as newcomer Gabe Turner's truly diabolical Lord Luck.
So, if you're sick of sparkles and teen drama, and instead want a werewolf story that's not afraid to show you the darker side of an oft romanticised condition, give this one a spin. It will break your heart, and you will love it all the more for it.
