History

Formed in the mid 2030s, Polaris was the brainchild of the L'Éclair, Blake and Soares families. Pooling their resources and merging the industries they ran, they created what is now known as Polaris industries. Since then, Polaris has been dedicated to producing weaponry and equipment that gives most ordinaries on the street an edge against those whose powers are beyond them.

People of Note

David Blake

Blake has been CEO since Polaris was founded, and while he's getting on in years, he's still the strong presence he was back in the 30s.

Celeste L'Éclair

Polaris Industies' head of Human Resources. She's known in equal parts for her severity and her at times strange choices for hiring and promotion. She's been around for as long as David, but doesn't seem as old. Speculation has it that she has a minor superpower that's the cause.

Yuan Cho

The head of Research and Development since his predecessor, Isabella Soares, resigned. The youngest department head, he nonetheless runs a tight ship.

Donna Blake

Seemingly perpetually moody, Donna is best known as the daughter of David Blake who wants to be doing anything but her current job in security. Who can blame her?

Gabriel Turner

As far as anyone is concerned, his main role is to deliver messages and get coffee for the higher ups. Despite effectively being an errand boy, or perhaps because of it, he seems to know an awful lot of what's going on. Or at least the gossip.

Location Information

Located in Capital City, the Polaris complex is divided into three main parts:

Administration

The heart of the company, this skyscraper is where the day to day running of Polaris Industries happens. The offices of anyone not in R&D will be located here.

Research and Development

A collection of labs, this is where any research into new ideas and the production of prototypes happens.

Production

This is where the equipment designed by R&D is produced. Most everything is largely automated, although there are a few overseers and a good deal of security present due to the nature of the equipment made by the company.

What we Really Think

SPEAR

“They're good at keeping order, which is definitely a good thing. It keeps people safe. Still, they can't always handle every supervillain out there.” - Donna Blake, Security

Seperatists

“On principle, we don't provide services for those who would cause chaos on the scale they could if they get their way.” - David Blake, CEO

Garuda

“While they operate outside the law, they seem to do a lot of good. Wouldn't want them showing up at our doorstep though.” - Gabriel Turner, Errand boy.

The Heart

“We want nothing to do with them, and it's their type we produce weapons to help defend against.” - Celeste L'Éclair

Rothwell, Gamasot and JeeveCorp

“A bit of friendly competition never hurt anyone, right? A lot of what they've done is seriously impressive.” - Yuan Cho, Head of R&D.

Temple

“What about them? Strange lot, aren't they?” - Overheard at the water cooler.

Recent Events

Peace in our Time

Recent events in which a large section of the Moon was reported missing, while having little to do with us directly, it's going to have a big effect on the market. Our stated aim is to equip people to help protect them against those more powerful than them, and with the chaos left in the wake of this calamity, people will be looking to take advantage.

Unknown Assets

Something isn't adding up. The resources going into production don't quite match what's coming out. In addition, there's been a lot of anonymous purchases (who approved them, anyway?) and there are prototypes from R&D which never seem to make it to production. What's going on here?
