“The Knights of the Round Table came into existence towards the end of the Crisis, and assumed a pivotal role in maintaining order during the subsequent dissolution of the World Government. The Knights were founded by Avalon, and followed her lead until her disappearance several decades later. Knights Gawain (previously Samuel Marvin), VIrTuAL_AdEpT and the Arcane Archer were ever-present throughout the early years, and Pellinore (previously Martin Falk) features heavily in the tales. The identity of Merlin has never been confirmed, although there are rumours that it might have been Avalon's enigmatic husband, Arkady Zarovich.
